COURSE OUTLINE: MAP MUSIC
- What and how you will learn.
An exciting music course for 13 - 16 year olds to develop skills in all modern production styles and techniques, from dj-ing and recording to Internet projects. Learners will build a portfolio of work to assist progression onto further music courses.
- In this course you will cover:
Health and Safety in the music studio
Recording - explore how to use a range of studio techniques and media recording equipment.
Production - learn how to use the appropriate software to create unique tracks, mix and re-mix.
Performance - produce pod casts and Internet radio projects, dj workshops and exhibitions of work produced.
- Additional Costs
There are no additional ongoing costs to this course; MAP provides all materials and equipment. However, we will charge a registration fee for all students who are submitted for accreditation.
- Qualifications needed to start
No formal qualifications are required for this course although demonstration of an interest in music is preferable.
- Course length and start times
Courses run Monday to Friday during term-time. Attendance hours are 10am - 3pm.
- After the course
Learners will be supported to return to mainstream education either by returning to school or to progress onto Further Education.

- Fees
All places cost £65.00 per day (+VAT), which will be invoiced monthly.
